Bath Time Cutie

Isn't she so cute. Tracy thought that she needed a photo op after her tubby time. You can see Rascal in the background sniffing around. He still isn't too sure about the whole baby thing. He is however starting to come around her more and lick her toes. For some reason dogs seem to love toes. Cooper licks Abby's toes all the time when I am over there and so does Rascal...weird.

Below is a picture of Abby & Rascal from Christmas time and from her after-tubby photo op. These are the only two pictures we have of both of them together!

Abby has gotten to where she absolutely LOVES bathtime. She just smiles and smiles and we always end the bath with a little tinkle fountain (I know it isn't something you might want to know, but we laugh and think it is so cute)! After the bath, we always have our mirror playtime with Mommy and Daddy. Tracy and I just hold her in front of the mirror and just make faces and smile and watch her. We then get her ready for bed on the floor in her room and let her just roll around.
Jamie and I are trying to work on Abby's rolling. She only likes to roll to her left and not to her right. Today when I went to pick her up, Jamie had piled stuff up on her left and tried to entice her with toys to roll to the right and she said "uh-uh brown momma!" Oh well I am sure she will get it when she gets it!

Cold & Chicken

So we chickened out on Saturday morning and did not ride our bicycles because the windchill was in the 30's.

Yesterday Tracy was wonderful and gave me the afternoon 'off'. I went and got a pedicure, did some shopping and ended the afternoon with Jen at the movies watching Bride Wars. It was a little different then I thought it would be, but it was okay. In the next few weeks there are several chick flicks I want to see, 'hes just not that into you' and 'confessions of a shopaholic'. The confession books are hilarious so I hope they do a good job.

When I got home last night, Tracy was cooking and had Abby in her bumbo on the kitchen counter. The first pic is of her thinking...man those potatoes look good. The other is just her being smily. After the photo ops, we fed her pears and oatmeal which she seems to like pretty well.

I am off to work now for a wonderful day. We start Weight Watchers again. I am hoping to try and lose this last bit of baby weight. Also, when it is in a group setting, I get a little competitive. Today is a long work out day. I meet with John at lunch and then ride the bike tonight.

Finally my laptop back and now pictures!!!!!

I haven't had my laptop in like a week. Thankfully it is all fixed and now I can be on the computer whenever I want and do not have to interrupt Tracy's WOW fixation!
So, since I have my computer back, I can now download pictures....woohoo!
For those that didn't know, Tracy went to see Austin and Riley in Washington this past week. He did not take near as many pictures as I thought he would, but here are a few. As you can see Riley has grown so much and Austin's hair is very long! They went to Chuck E Cheese, Red Lobster, the movies and several other places.

I love that Abby stays at a friends house. Jamie sends me pictures during the day sometimes and it just makes me smile. Here is a picture she sent on Wednesday.

On Wednesday evening we gave Abby her first fruit, pears. She was having a blast sitting in the bumbo and eating the pears. Today we mixed the pears with the oatmeal and for once she actually ate the dang oatmeal. She ate almost all of it that Tracy fixed for her and he fixed a lot. She was messy with it and had to get a bath right afterwards but seemed so happy!

Tonight is just a lazy night. We ate C&J's and just relaxed. Tomorrow morning we are being crazy and riding our bikes at 8 in the morning. It is supposed to be in the 40's with a 20 mph head wind. Wish us luck!

The play park and then back to Maurice

Yesterday was a relaxing day for Ms. Abby and myself. We went to eat with Grandma & Grandpa at Cheddars. It was so yummy, I haven't been there in a while due to the crowds that are there. After that Abby decided to take a nap and let Mommy do some much needed cleaning around the house. The fun part was going to the park with the Harris family. It was Abby's first date with her future boyfriend, Luke Pollard Harris, who is a few months older than Abby (she is already going for the older men)!

Today Abby was sooooooooooooooo happy. When I dropped her off at Jamie's, there was Maurice sitting in the pack and play. When I laid Abby down she grabbed Maurice and started playing with him. After a long day of work, I went back to the Stafin's to eat some yummy yummy stew. I love stew and I don't get to eat it because Tracy does NOT like stew. When I got there the girls were just playing. Alex was a little upset and was trying to get Abby's paci and she was sucking on Abbys hand. So cute!

So I have to say I am so glad to have Tracy, because when he has been gone, it is kind of tough to do everything by myself. Luckily when we got home tonight I gave Abby a bath and then she went right to sleep. I rode for a grueling hour on my road bike while watching tv. The MS 150 is coming up a lot sooner than expected and I hope I can ride 150 miles in 2 days!

Have you seen Maurice?

Okay so I know I just posted something for today, but I had to add this (I briefly mentioned it in my last post).

Maurice Monkey is one of Abby's favorite toys. His feet are blue teethers. Tracy tried to call him Blue Foot Curious George once and Abby screamed! So every since he has been Maurice. Well today I watched the girls for a little while at Josh & Jamies while Jamie was at dr. appts and we accidentally left Maurice over there when I picked her up.

Well tonight Abby got a ransom note from Alex that went like this:
A-
I am holding blue foot monkey hostage...if you ever want to see him
again you will meet my demands!

I then responded that we do not know anyone named blue foot monkey and they better not hurt Maurice. The kidnappers have since sent numerous, horrible, torturing pictures of poor, defenseless Maurice! Can anyone help us find him?

I have joined the cult of blogging!

So I am joining the world of blogging!

I have been actively following our good friends, the Stafins, blog that I started to realize that it would be a great way for me to let everyone know what was going on in our life (especially since most of my family is not on facebook or myspace).

So my first post will be a smorgasbord of information.

Tracy and I got married on August 5, 2006. With this life changing moment, I became an instant mom and have two wonderful children from his first marriage, Austin (11) and Riley (3).

On January 1, 2008 Tracy and I discovered that we were going to add another to our brood. On Friday, September 5, 2008 at approximately 8 pm, Abigail Lindsey James was born. She was 9 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. Below to the left is Abby the day she was born and the picture to the right shows her at Christmas (almost 4 months later). She is our chunky monkey!

At her 4 month checkup she was only in the 95th percentile for her weight! She was at 16.5 lbs. She has grown in length too. Instead of the 70th percentile she was in the 75th percentile at 25 inches.
On Christmas Eve she gave Tracy and I a present.....she rolled over and we haven't been able to stop her since. The only issue with her rolling over is that she does not know how to roll back from her tummy to her back and she will eventually get frustrated and then get mad if you turn her over. A typical girl already...not knowing what she wants! lol
Tracy is up in Richland, WA right now visiting Austin and Riley. We decided that Abby shouldn't travel right now...or more like we didn't want to travel with all of Abby's entourage (stroller, car seat, car seat base, pack and play, etc)! Tracy took the camera so I will post pictures of the kids when he gets back next week.
Our friend, Jamie, watches Abby during the day while I work. She has a daughter, Alex, who was born almost 2 months earlier than Abby. She is Abby's second momma while I am away. Abby just loves playing with Alex.........although, we just got a ransom email from Alex stating that she was holding Abby's monkey, Maurice, ransom since we accidentally left him there. Oh well, there will be plenty more stories as we go along, no need for me to keep typing a book right now :)
