Dress Up and Fairytales

Riley Erin James turned 4 this past Saturday, Valentine's Day. She is getting to be such a big girl. I can't wait until she is here this summer to meet her little sister. On her big day, she had a tea party with some girlfriends. They played dress up, put on makeup and drank tea. I think the picture above from her party is gorgeous. She is such a doll. When we talked with her she was so hyped up and excited about her party, it was so fun to just hear her excitement. The below picture is so cute! I love the Jackie O glasses on her.

Okay so this morning we get to Jamie's and Abby has decided to deposit a little present in her diaper for us :). Do not read further if you do not want to read gross stuff :). So yesterday Abby had bananas at lunch and peas at dinner. Well lets say her poo this morning was more of a teal green color and it shocked me to see it. It was also very pasty. Only one of the many joys of motherhood lol.
Today Abby rolled onto her stomach towards her right like she always does and instead of rolling to her right to get from her stomach to her back.......she rolled left! That is a first for her. She is sleeping now and we are watching 24...go Jack Bauer go!

Giggle Bug

Jamie got Abby just a laughing today and video taped it. View for my little giggle bug!

Enough Hair for a Bow!

So we dropped our precious little sweetpea with Jamie this morning and mid morning I get this photo! She is too cute. Her little mohawk holds a little bow now. Jamie also took a video of Abby just a giggling, so we will get that posted sometime soon.

Tonight we did peas again and she didn't look sure about any of the bites, but she kept eating and eating.

All of Abby's pj's are in the washer tonight because I forgot to put them in the dryer when we got home. All we had clean were gowns, but for some reason Tracy hates putting Abby in gowns now because it is hard to struggle getting her in them. Next thing I know, Tracy has decided that Abby is going to be inserted into a Sleep Sack with just her diaper. She looked so confused! I guess really it is the same thing as a gown, but I scolded Tracy a little (not too much though :) ). Now she is sleeping and sleeping.

We are watching The Biggest Loser right now, which should motivate me to want to work out, but I did my workout for the day and am really pooped. I feel bad for the teams where the partners are not pulling their weight when it comes to challenges and workouts. I know it is a random thought.

A Super Fun Day

Today I got to spend the whole day with my munchkin. Josh and Jamie had other things going on today so I took off and spent the whole day with my sweetpea. Abby woke up when she normally does (around 7:00ish) and we ate and played for a little while. She then took a tiny nap. After nap time we played some more, ate some more and then went to meet Daddy for lunch at Jason's Deli. It was so yummy. After lunch me and Abby just went around and went to World Market, Sam's, Ashley Furniture and Kroger. Abby took little cat naps, but when we got home she was really tired. She is sleeping right now and so peaceful.

Tonight I am meeting the girls to plan Sarah's baby shower! They found out this week they are having a boy so Abby will have another friend. After that Tracy and I will just lay around.

Tomorrow we are riding bikes in the morning and going to Katy for Valentine's Day.

What a Chunky Monkey

So this past weekend I had to work some at the office, so I decided to do it while Tracy was riding. Abby slept some, but mostly she wanted to play, so I had to get some cute photo ops.
The below picture is taken while she was playing with her bestest friend, Maurice!
You can notice in the picture that her hair is starting to grow longer. However, it is growing more prominently in a little strip. You can see on previous posts that we like to give her little mohawks :). We are hoping her hair starts to grow on the sides a little too.
Monday I got to take a break from work to watch the babies. Alex and Abby were all about playing on the floor.......AT FIRST! Then they wanted to take turns being needy and wanting White Momma love lol. Finally Abby decided to take a nap and then I could focus on Miss Alex and then she decided to go to sleep too! But they are too cute together. Alex is getting so big that I am sure she will start crawling soon.
This week we have been going back to some old favorites with our food. Tonight we did sweet potatoes. I decided to take Abby's clothes off since she was wearing white. This picture just shows how chunky my little monkey has become. She is so precious and she has gotten to where she laughs at the drop of a hat. It is more of a cackle really.
Well my husband and I have been trying to get in shape. We are scheduled to ride in the MS150 in April and then compete in a duathlon at the end of May. In the past four weeks we have each lost a little over 12 pounds! I will soon be back to my pre-Abby weight (hopefully).
In a couple of weeks we are getting to go home to Baton Rouge and New Orleans! Rebecca is finally getting married and unfortunately Tracy and I have to go to a great place, eat great food and be with wonderful people! I will take lots of pictures while we are there. It will be the first time Rebecca gets to meet Abby. It will also be the longest we are away from her. My cousin Fran is going to keep Abby 2 of the days while we are there so we can focus on us, the wedding and having a little fun.
More later..........

Peaches & Mohawks

The above picture is the face of a baby girl just trying peaches for the first time. She did this with pears too the first time. She makes this face the first bite each time and the only thing I can think of is that the tartness gets to her. After the first bite she seems to like them just fine. In fact, peaches and sweet potatoes are the only food that I can feed her and nothing gets out of her mouth onto her bib! She loves them.

She has also discovered she can put anything and everything into her mouth. Even with the pacifier in her mouth she still tries to put things in. The other day she was sitting upright by herself for a minute and fell forward onto my arm. She didn't mind though, she treated my arm as a little nighttime snack!

Such a silly girl!
So I am sure everyone has seen those pictures of yourself as a baby where your parents dressed you up or did funny stuff to you and took pictures. I told myself that I really wouldn't ever do that........oh but I did!!!!!
Abby has this little strip of hair that so wanted to be spiked into a mohawk.....well I couldn't disappoint her, so I did it. Take a look at our little rocker girl!

I am just praying that our sweetpea does not get the stomach flu. I had it for a few days earlier this week and I have to say that it broke my heart to not be able to hold her or touch her. We didn't want her to catch the bug. So my fever broke early yesterday and this morning, Tracy got it! We are the stomach bug family. Hopefully this weekend will be okay.

Out of Shape

So yesterday I did my first real group bike ride. According to my plan I was only supposed to ride 22.5 miles and instead I did more! It was 2.5 hours of continuous pushing. I thought I was getting in shape, but each hill I wanted to quit because my quads were on FIRE!!!!
But the important thing is I did it! Last night my cool new girl bike seat and bike shorts came :). I am so happy for the extra padding in the right places. Tracy kicked more butt than me because he rode for an hour longer.

I figured since I did all that exercise that I deserved to eat good last night. I have been seeing those Olive Garden commercials talking about their four cheese stuffed ravioli with a white wine cream sauce and shrimp. Let me tell you it was pure bliss....so yummy!

Today is Super Bowl day so we will be going to several friends houses to eat yummy snacks and partake in the day together. Abby will have several playmates (not from Playboy) to play with throughout the afternoon. I will try to post some pics tomorrow.
